From my initial consultation with Mr. Singisetti, through the pre-op procedures then actual knee replacement procedure I could not have been happier or better impressed with my treatment and the efficiency of all staff involved and the care I received. Mr. Singisetti is the consummate professional and I was made to feel at ease immediately I met him, he was both friendly and thorough in explaining my condition and cure through replacement. He is obviously a very experienced, accomplished surgeon.

I first met Dr Singetissi for a consultation regarding my knee. We discussed the xrays of my knee and how I needed a new knee replacement. He told me all about the risk of infection and any other information I needed to know. When i went into hospital for the operation every member of staff from porter's to consultant were very kind and helpful. I would like to thank every one working on ward 26 for the attention I received from them all. Thank you all Mr John Gardner.

From my initial appraisal Mr Singisetti explained fully what a knee replacement entailed and that it entailed risks as well as pain immediately after the operation. He was totally honest about how painful it would be afterwards but that painkillers would important in keeping it under control. He listened to my concerns regarding mobility afterwards and said it was important that I carefully followed the exercises after returning home. On the day of the surgery he again explained the risks and asked if I was sure I wanted the operation. He also placed a mark on my leg to reassure me that he would be operating on the correct leg. The way he explained the process including the spinal anaesthetic made me feel confident in him. During the surgery I felt no pain at all though I was fully aware of my surroundings. After I was taken to recuperation it helped to have a nurse with me until I was taken to a room on the ward. During my time on the hospital ward the staff were really excellent checking to see if I was in pain and needing any assistance with hygiene etc. The physiotherapists checked on my mobility and issued me with instructions regarding exercises. This was reinforced by TIMs after returning home who sent me exercise sheets and links to an exercise video. The aftercare I received after returning home was excellent. Overall the care I received from Mr Singisetti and his team was fantastic. To be honest I can’t think of any suggestions that could improve on the care I received in both hospital and at home afterwards.

Mr Singisetti has successfully carried out both my left hip replacement (2 years ago) and my right hip replacement this year. As a result of my medical conditions I elected to remain awake during both procedures to reduce risk and he was very reassuring throughout. He was also able to correct the differences in my leg lengths to ensure a more even gait. It was also explained that during my exercises I needed to help my body learn how to walk correctly to prevent any future problems. Mr Singisetti's enthusiasm for his job was infectious and he has a dedicated team around him to make the whole experience as painless as possible.

From the very first meeting with Mr Singisetti I felt very relaxed as he explained all of the problems I was having with my knee and encouraged me to ask any questions if there was anything I was not too sure of. At all times during my consultation the final decision on my knee replacement was totally down to me with out any pressure because every thing had been explained to me so fully. The operation went even better than than I was hoping for and my treatment on the ward afterwards was so first class with people looking after me always with a smile, anything I asked for was delivered all most instantly and once you had asked for water etc it was always topped up by some one even with out asking so you did not feel like you were being a pest.
